Professional training

According to the Vocational Training Act this qialified job is approved. The triennial education essentially takes place in the company of education and vocational school.

You can choose between three subject areas:

• Artistic glassblower
• Christmas tree decorations
• Ocular protetic

Content and procedure

According to the training program the apprentices learn at least the following skills:

General goals

• professional education, employement and collective bargaining law
• assembly and organization of the company of education
• safety and health protection at work
• environmental protection
• planing and arranging an operation as well as control and evaluate outputs
• use and service tools, devices, machines and installations
• (de-)forming glass tubes and rods
• Manufacturing products of glass tubes
• Manufacturing products of glass rods

Artistic glassblower

• Manufacturing glass animals
• Manufacturing of drinkin glass
• Manufacturing of sculptures considering blueprints

Christmas tree decoration

• Manufacturing ambitious christmas tree decoration, free formed or made with forms
• Refining christmas tree decorations

Ocular protetic

• Constructing iris and pupil
• Manufacturing eye forms

Professionalism

After completing their training the graduates work in small technical enterprises in single-part or series production.

• Participations to courses, classes or seminars, e.g. about safety at work, environmental protection, education of trainer, material and bearing business, mercantile or computer literacy

Advanced training for promotion (after professional practice)

• Foreman of glass
• Engineer in glass techniques
